Are you interested in creating a burlesque or cabaret act? Looking to develop your general performance skills? Or are you interested in discovering playful approaches to creating new work? Then the first series of the Burlesque Performance Playbook is for you!
The Act Creation Toolkit course is aimed at burlesque performers of any level who are interested in the nitty gritty of putting together an act. You might already be working on something and are looking for some inspiration or you might have loads of ideas and you just don’t know where to start.
Over the six weeks you will be taken through a series of exercises that will give you the tools and resources to map out and refine your act. This will include exploring visual storytelling, movement through music, character development, using props in performance, comedy and clowning, general performance skills as well as finding the 'you-ness' of you as a performer.

The course will run over six weeks in Cardiff and each class is an hour and a half long.
